Have you checked out lex.page ? It has several LLM-powered features baked in that can be pretty helpful, particularly the "check" feature that embeds suggested changes/comments right into your doc.

Woah. Stellar recommendation. It would be cool if it integrated with Google docs too.

I suspect similar features will eventually make their way into Docs but for my last couple posts I've been experimenting with drafting in Lex and have enjoyed it!

Wow... Chris, this article turned out amazing. This week, I have been playing around with Claude 3. This tool is amazing. Its ability to synthesize and role play is incredible. Thinking about hanging up my GPT subscription.

Do you mean your chatGPT subscription?

Do you have a GPT trained on your writing?

Can Claude 3 role play a genius doctor that can cure my intestinal issues? lol

Haha! Yes, hanging up my ChatGPT subscription. Really like the responses of Claude. Lex is a good rec, David. When we start using tools with better interfaces, we need to check what the core AI architecture they are built on. I am all about improved interfaces, but when it comes down to it compute is king. You want a tool with the most best probabilities of predicting the next word.

hmm i should try chat gpt. I tend to only use PI or Personal Intelligence a lot for ideas and collab when writing. It is Mustafa Suleyman's baby and he built it to have more empathy perhaps unlike the others. He penned a great book of his on AI is The coming wave. I heard him speak about the importance of containment strategies. Also a great read is his partner Reid Hoffman's Impromptu which he wrote with GPT. There is a great chapter on education and AI that I found very inspiring for how AI will help us reclaim our lost critical thinking skills. cautious optimism.
